Preview: Middle Atlantic Series Finale @ Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort

Greensboro, NC- On Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour will play the 2022 Middle Atlantic Series Finale at Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort.

Over the past six months, 9 single and multi-day events took place across Virginia and Maryland while players competed to earn a top spot on the coveted Middle Atlantic Regional Order of Merit– presented by Storie Apparel. Serving as one of the most competitive regional series on the PKBGT schedule, the series has featured over 122 unique participants from Virginia, Maryland, and beyond this season.

These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-18. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

 

Prep Series

In the Prep Series division, Thirteen players will tee it up on the 5766 yards par 72 setup.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Lily Hall — Yorktown, VA — Class of 2024 — #59 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Madison Lehr — Mechanicsville, VA — Class of 2024 — #83 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Faith Garcia— Suffolk, VA — Class of 2023 — #87 on the PKBGT Performance Index

 

Futures Series

In the Futures Series division, Eight players will tee it up on the 5205 yard par 72 setup.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Aspen Bikowski — White Plains, MD — Class of 2027 — #140 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Aurora Yoo — Fairfax, VA — Class of 2027 — #311 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Caitlyn Navaleza — Baltimore, MD — Class of 2026 — #319 on the PKBGT Performance Index

 

Discovery Series

In the Discovery Series division, Eight players will tee it up on the 1925 yards par 36 setup.

The three players in the field include:

  • Sy Shafie — Laytonsville, MD — Class of 2028
  • Madeline Navaleza — Baltimore, MD — Class of 2028
  • Jasmine Limm — Chesterfield, VA — Class of 2029

 

The Two-Day Series Finale at Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort brings together players from Virginia and Maryland. Play will begin on Saturday, September 24th, at 8:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
