Greensboro, NC – On Sunday, November 20th, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the final round of the Hampton Roads Girls Classic at Ford’s Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, VA.
Following an excellent first round, players were ready to take on the course, with many in striking distance. Tee time’s began at 11:00 am and players arrived at the practice facilities eager to get the round started and potentially take first place.
At the end of the day, two girls stood atop the leaderboards, each the champion of their division at the Hampton Roads Girls Classic!
Bell National
Lillian McDermott (Yorktown, VA 2025) started the day two shots off the lead but played well down the stretch playing her last 10 holes in just 1-over par to help secure the victory. Matching Lillian’s 76 (+4) was Macie Rasmussen (Chesapeake, VA 2027). Macie’s round was highlighted by an eagle on the 15th hole pushing her to a runner-up finish. Rhianna Gooneratne (Plymouth Meeting, PA 2025) made three birdies and an eagle during her closing round on her way finishing third. Overnight leader, Vincenza Papa (Foster, RI 2026), made a birdie on the 17th hole giving her medalist honors.

Futures National
Madison Rizzo (Leesburg, VA 2025) started the day six strokes behind the leader but got off to a quick start making two birdies in her opening four holes. Madison would play consistent golf the rest of the day to pull ahead and win by one stroke. Kaylee Bell (Virginia Beach, VA 2028) made back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th hole on her way to a share of second. Alexis Danielle Goboy (Chesapeake, VA 2026) bettered her opening round by eight strokes on Sunday with the help of three birdies and would end up tying with Kaylee for second place. Grace Anne Haggerty (Glen Allen, VA 2025) played very consistent golf over the two day event and would claim the last medalist spot after her 79 (+7) final round.

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2022 season will feature over 138 tournaments in 12+ states and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
