Preview: Stoney Point Girls Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour resumes its National Tournament schedule this weekend at a former LPGA Symetra Tour venue for the annual Stoney Point Girls Classic at Stoney Point Golf Club in Greenwood, SC. Stoney Point Golf Club, an annual stop on the Road to the LPGA Tour for five years, will host some of the rising stars of the PKBGT this weekend over the 36 hole tournament. Seven states will be represented in the field.

 

Bell National

Nine players will tee it up on the 5900 yards par 72 set up in the Bell National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Madison Lynn Dixon — Boiling Springs, SC — Class of 2023 — #113 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Grace Addison — Abingdon, VA — Class of 2023 — #118on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Madeline Simcox — Bristol, TN — Class of 2022 — #142 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, July 10, at 11:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

Futures National

Nineteen contestants will tee it up on the 5255 yards par 72 set up in the Futures National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Peyton O’Brien — Clemson, SC — Class of 2024— #142 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Lily Rowe — Raleigh, NC — Class of 2022 — #214 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Taylor Sieg — Summit, NJ — Class of 2024 — #245 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, July 10, at 11:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
