Update: Blue Ridge Girls Classic

Front Royal, VAThe Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour headed north for the first of three events in the DMV for the Blue Ridge Girls Classic at Bowling Green Country Club in Front Royal, Virginia. The Bowling Green Country Club North Course, nestled in the northern neck of the Shenandoah Valley, features a picturesque backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a landscape dotted by historic 19th-century farmhouses. The Blue Ridge Girls Classic, the second event in the Prep Preview National schedule, welcomed thirty competitors between the Prep Preview and Futures National divisions to the Shenandoah Valley. Residents of North Carolina, Maryland, and Virginia are represented in this weekend’s field vying for bids to the National Tournament of Champions hosted in early December.

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2020-2021 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.  Learn more about the PKBGT at http://www.pkbgt.org/.
