Preview: Kandi Comer Girls Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour travels to a new stop on the PKBGT National schedule next weekend for the inaugural Kandi Comer Girls Classic presented by River City Collective at Orchard Creek Golf  Club in Waynesboro, VA. Orchard Creek Golf Club, set below the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, is home to one of the most respected teaching professionals on the East Coast. River City Collective and the PKBGT are proud to name this special event in honor of Kandi Comer, PGA. 

Bell National

In the Bell National division, twenty-one players will tee it up on the 5955 yards par 71 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Kyndall Shamblin — Cleveland, TN — Class of 2022 — #48 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Alice Zou — Potomac, MD — Class of 2022 — #51 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Vivian Hui — Charlottesville, VA — Class of 2023 — #69 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, May 1, at 10:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

Futures National

In the Futures National division, twenty-six players will tee it up on the 5350 yards par 71 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Emerson Roychoudhury — Leesburg, VA — Class of 2027 — #173 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Ashnoor Kaur — Roanoke, VA — Class of 2027 — #174 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Madison Lehr — Mechanicsville, VA — Class of 2024 — #190 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, May 1, at 10:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
