No matter who walked away with the title on Sunday afternoon, all three players played very well in the very windy and cold conditions this past weekend. Kallyn Black (Greensboro, GA 2026), winner of the Flat Creek Girls Classic at Flat Creek CC, held the lead overnight along with Ariel Collins. With a second round consisting of 2 birdies and 8 pars, Kallyn found herself in a three-way tie for first with Lili Nelson (Locust Grove, GA 2028) and Ariel Collins (Greensboro, GA 2026).

Ariel Collins (Greensboro, GA 2026) shared the overnight lead on the field with Kallyn after her opening round of 76 (+4) which included a hole-in-one on the par 3 Hole #3. And the three girls ended in all three in a sudden-death play off for first that went two holes before Kallyn claimed first with a par putt. Thus left Ariel and Lili in a two-way tie for second that was broken with a scorecard playoff. Rounding out the top five was Molly Spector (Atlanta, GA 2028) in fourth and  Narah Kim (Duluth, GA 2027) in fifth.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour travels south once again for the Orange Whip Classic at The Walker Course at Clemson University.

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The Tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the Tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2022 season will feature over 110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only Tour in the country.  Learn more about the PKBGT at http://www.pkbgt.org/.
