Preview: Wolfpack Girls Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour returns to Lonnie Poole Golf Course at NC State after a year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic to host a full field at the home of the ACC Challenge, NC State Women’s Golf program, and the PGA Golf Management Program. Six states will be represented in the field that includes eleven winners this season.

 

Bell National

Twenty-one players will tee it up on the 5940 yards par 72 set up in the Bell National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Grace Ridenour — Raleigh, NC — Class of 2025 — #24 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Emerson Dever — Durham, NC — Class of 2025 — #33 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Nicole Nash — Charlotte, NC — Class of 2023 — #41 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, July 17, at 11:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

Futures National

Forty-two contestants will tee it up on the 5136 yards par 72 set up in the Futures National division.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Jenna Kim — Raleigh, NC — Class of 2027— #70 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Ella June Hannant — Pikeville, NC — Class of 2027 — #140 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Ashnoor Kaur — Roanoke, VA — Class of 2027 — #153 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Play will begin on Saturday, July 17, at 11:00 AM EST (weather permitting).

 

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
