Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf heads to a new venue for the annual Wolfpack Classic after the COVID-19 pandemic prevented The Lonnie Poole Golf Course from hosting some of the Tarheel state’s best. Thankfully, Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount, NC, stepped up and graciously offered to host the event. Founded in 1922, this Donald Ross classic design, Benvenue CC, is known for its small and fast greens, a true test for the best of the PKBGT.
Bell National
In the Bell National division, seven players will compete on the 5900 yards par 72 set up.
Top-ranked players in the field include:
- Macy Pate — Boone, NC — Class of 2024 — #22 on the PKBGT Performance Index
- Sophie Lauture — Charlotte, NC — Class of 2024 — #25 on the PKBGT Performance Index
- Ava Lucas — Raleigh, NC — Class of 2021 — #73 on the PKBGT Performance Index

In the Futures National division, twenty-five players will compete on the 5,184 yards par 72 set up.

- Leah Edwards — Greensboro, NC — Class of 2025 — #161 on the PKBGT Performance Index

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina. The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2020 season will feature over 1110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
