Salem, VA-On Saturday-Sunday June 13-14, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour will head once again up near our Nation’s Capital for the Valley Junior Girls Open in partnership with the Valley Girls Junior Scholarship Fund at Hidden Valley County Club. Salem, Virginia a hub spot for Division III NCAA championships, will turn their attention to the country club where a star-studded field of PKBGT members and non-members will compete for the title. Thirty-five Bell National participants and twenty-seven Futures National competitors will be in the field this coming weekend.
Bell National
In the Bell National division, thirty-five players will compete on the 5800 yards par 72 set up.
Top-ranked players in the field include:
- Sydney Hackett — Ashburn, VA — Class of 2022 — #6 on the PKBGT Performance Index & defending champion
- Alexsandra Lapple — Pinehurst, NC— Class of 2023 — #15 on the PKBGT Performance Index
- Paris Fieldings — Suffolk, VA — Class of 2023 — #21 on the PKBGT Performance Index

In the Futures National division, thirty-five players will compete on the 5,287 yards par 72 set up.

- Leah Edwards — Greensboro, NC — Class of 2025 — #157 on the PKBGT Performance Index
- McKenzie Weddle — Floyd, VA— Class of 2023 — #165 on the PKBGT Performance Index

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina. The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2020 season will feature over 1110 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast, and with over 1,000 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
