Preview: Commonwealth Classic

Greensboro, NC- The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf heads back to the DMV for another strong event packed with Virginia and Maryland competitors for the Commonwealth Classic at Lake Monticello Golf Club in Palmyra, Virginia. The field includes four players ranked inside the Top-10 in the PKBGT National Order of Merit rankings including Kathryn Ha (Roanoke, VA 2025) at #2 in the Futures National standings.

Bell National

In the Bell National division, thirty players will compete on the 5800 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Isabel Bae — Bristow, VA — Class of 2021 — #24 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Helen Yeung — Clarksville, MD  — Class of 2024 — #35 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Ester Choi — Midlothian, VA — Class of 2021 — #36 on the PKBGT Performance Index

Futures National

In the Futures National division, thirty-two players will compete on the 5,193 yards par 72 set up.

Top-ranked players in the field include:

  • Kathryn Ha — Roanoke, VA  — Class of 2025— #59 on the PKBGT Performance Index & winner of last 3 events
  • Grace Addison— Abingdon, VA — Class of 2023 — #127 on the PKBGT Performance Index
  • Kanchana Duangsam — Haymarket, VA — Class of 2026 — #163 on the PKBGT Performance Index

About the PKBGT

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina.  The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace.
