RecruitPKB Scholarship Announced to Support Junior Girls Entering Collegiate Golf; First Recipient Named as Elle Overly
Greensboro, NC – The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour (PKBGT) and its RecruitPKB initiative are proud to announce the launch of the RecruitPKB Scholarship, a new annual scholarship to support aspiring junior girls golfers’ academic and athletic dreams. The inaugural recipient of the $1,000 scholarship is Elle Overly, a standout student-athlete whose achievements embody the mission of the PKBGT.
The RecruitPKB Scholarship was established in 2024 through the vision and generosity of Brandi Jackson, a former collegiate and professional golfer who now leads RecruitPKB, the PKBGT’s premier college recruiting consulting program. The scholarship will provide a one-time $1,000 award to support Elle in her freshman year of college, beginning in the fall.
“As someone who depended on numerous types of scholarships to attend Furman University and pursue my dream of playing college golf, establishing a women’s golf scholarship has always been a deeply personal goal,” said Jackson. “In 2024, with the launch of my own charity golf tournament, that vision became a reality. This initiative was created to support and empower young women who are following a similar path — using golf as a platform to pursue higher education, leadership, and personal growth.”
Elle Overly stood out among a competitive group of applicants thanks to her impressive academic performance, dedication to community service, and leadership both on and off the golf course.
“Our first recipient, Elle, immediately stood out,” Jackson added. “Her impressive academic achievements, commitment to volunteer work, and leadership in the community reflect the values at the heart of this scholarship. She truly embodies the mission of the PKB Girls Tour, which was founded in 2007 to create more opportunities for girls to play, compete, and achieve their dreams of playing college golf.”
“I am honored to have been selected as the recipient of the RecruitPKB Scholarship. Thank you PKBGT for the best 5 years and pushing me to be a better golfer. I am excited to see what God has in store for me in this next chapter. This scholarship is going to help me pursue my dream of playing golf at the collegiate level,” Elle Overly said.
The RecruitPKB Scholarship represents more than financial support — it is a recognition of resilience, excellence, and the opportunities golf presents for life-changing impacts on junior girls.
“This scholarship is more than financial support — it’s a celebration of dedication, character, and the belief that golf can open doors to a brighter future,” said Jackson.
