After a heated season of play, the 2021-2022 PKBGT National Series is nearing its conclusion. The season kicked off in October, spanned 11 months, and traveled across seven states. Now, only three tournaments remain and Bell National and Futures National Order of Merit champions will be determined in this short time frame. Though there is plenty of exciting golf yet to be played in the current season, the 2023 tour looms just around the corner.
Today, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is excited to offer a sneak peak of the invitational events for Fall 2022! The strongest fields on the tour will be welcomed back again at some of the best facilities the East Coast has to offer and an exciting new opportunity to play on the Golf Channel awaits.
2022 PKBGT/NB3 Girls National Championship (Nov. 3-5)
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour and Notah Begay III are working together to host the first ever all Girls National Championship that will be broadcasted on the Golf Channel. 100+ girls who qualify through regional qualifiers from across the country will compete in the 54-hole event. With the featured National Championship on the Golf Channel, over 100 girls will gain exposure at the national level as well as the thousands who played in the regional qualifiers.
About the Course – Koasati Pines at Coushatta Resort
The 2022 Girls National Championship will take place at Koasati Pines Golf Club at Coushatta Resort. Koasati Pines is tucked in the wetlands of Southwest Louisiana and surrounded by majestic pines and oak trees. Consistently ranked one of the premier links in Louisiana, Koasati Pines received national praise when Golf Advisor ranked it the 18th golf course in the United States. This beautiful course will set a superb stage to crown the inaugural girls National Champion and highlight the nation’s best young girl’s golfers.

The 14th PKBGT Invitational (Nov. 12-14)
For the 5th consecutive year, the PKBGT Invitational will be played at Bermuda Run Country Club. The PKBGT Invitational is one of the premier events on the tour schedule and continually brings the top players on the East Coast creating one of the strongest fields in the country. Players can earn spots into the 14th PKBGT Invitational by excellent play on the PKBGT and throughout the year in junior girl’s golf. Keep your eyes on the lookout for qualification criteria information!
About the Course – Bermuda Run Country Club
Bermuda Run has been a leading Triad private club with its 36 holes of championship golf. It is ranked 2nd in the Carolina’s Top Ranked Courses by Triad Business. The East Course has hosted several prestigious events such as a US Women’s Open sectional qualifier, a Carolina’s Women Amateur, a NC Senior Open, and has hosted the Monday qualifier for the PGA Tour’s Wyndham championship multiple times. In the past, the best have come to play at Bermuda Run and that tradition will continue in November when it hosts The 14th PKBGT Invitational.
2022 Regional Tournament of Champions (Nov. 19-20)
The Regional Tournament of Champions returns to seaside Palmetto Dunes Resort in 2022. Players will qualify for the event by having performed well in the 2021-2022 PKBGT Regional events and the Order of Merit Points race helping to compile one of the strongest fields of the season. Be on the lookout for player entrance criteria and qualified players!
About the Course – Palmetto Dunes Resort (Arthur Hills Course)
The unique Arthur Hills course at Palmetto Dunes provides beautiful topography and views throughout the course helping it recently to be named one of “The 30 Best Courses You Can Play in South Carolina.” The natural setting attracts dozens of species of birds as well as alligators and deer. One of the many unique features of the Arthur Hills course is the historic Hilton Head Range Light Station which served as the lighthouse of the Port Royal Sound in the late 1800’s. This course will shine a light on the top Regional players in the country this November!
2022 National Tournament of Champions (Dec. 10-11)
The National Tournament of Champions will be played at Forest Creek Golf Club for the third consecutive year. Players will qualify for this exclusive field by being a top performer in 2021-2022 PKBGT National Series events and Order of Merit Point races. Thus setting up a competitive 36-hole event featuring the best players on the National Series. Be on the lookout for player entrance criteria and qualified players!
About the Course – Forest Creek Golf Club (South Course)
Tom Fazio carved the South Course out of the wispy pines of Pinehurst and was inspired by Augusta National’s layout leading to the rolling, natural look players see today. Golf Digest named the course the third-best new residential course in the country when it opened and Pinehurst Magazine has selected the South Course as the second-best golf experience in the Pinehurst area as voted on by golf professionals. Come December, prestigious Forest Creek will welcome the best National Series players in the country!
2022 Regional Invitational (Dec.17-18)
The top finishers in eight different PKBGT Regions across the country will come together to compete at the 2022 Regional Invitational. Players will earn invitations to the tournament by performing well in the Storie Apparel Order of Merit list and in regional events. Be on the lookout for exemption information!
About the Course – Chateau Elan Golf Club (Chateau Course)
The Chateau Course is one of three state-of-the-art golf courses on Chateau Elan’s property sitting among nearly 4,000 acres of vineyards. The Chateau Course is a challenging, championship course with undulating fairways, three lakes, and two winding streams. In December, the players will have to navigate the water, which comes into play on 10 holes, and the 87 bunkers creating risk on nearly every shot!

Founded in 2007 by Girls Golf of America, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program in the Triad region of North Carolina. The tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focuses on developing tournament experiences at the players pace. In 2021, the PKBGT will feature over 1,000 members and operate over 130 tournaments in 11 states across the East Coast and Midwest.
