On Sunday, September 8, the 2019 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Delaware Valley Regional Series Finale at Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Pottstown, PA.
These PKBGT regional events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.
The inaugural PKBGT Delaware Valley Regional Series, presented by Women’s Golfers Give Back, featured five one-day events, concluding with today’s series finale at the host facility of the LPGA Symetra Tour’s Valley Forge Invitational. Let’s see how the series came to a close this afternoon!
Prep Division
It was a tight race for the 18 hole finale Prep division title of 2019 Delaware Valley Series, but New Jersey native Kiera Bartholomew (Westampton, NJ 2023) edged out the competitive field by one stroke! Bartholomew’s round of two-over-par 73 was highlighted by four birdies – earning her a spot in the 2019 PKBGT Tournament of Champions and PKBGT Prep Invitational!
Just one stroke back in a tie for second place were Elizabeth Beek (Blue Bell, PA 2023) and Megan Meng (Pennington, NJ 2024) with rounds of 74. Beek’s round was highlighted by two birdies while Meng posted four birdies on the front nine of Raven’s Claw today.
In fourth place was Lauren Jones (Newtown Square, PA 2021) who posted a round of 77. Rounding out the top five in fifth place was Victoria Kim (West Chester, PA 2022) with a round of 79.
Futures Division
Posting the lowest round EVER recorded in a PKBGT Delaware Valley event, Kayla Maletto (Sinking Springs, PA 2024) blazed through Raven’s Claw’s 18 hole track with a round of three-under-par 68! Maletto’s under-par round, which featured a bogey-free nine back nine of 32, solidified her reign on the Delaware Valley Futures Order of Merit. Going three for three, Maletto has won every event she has teed it up in during the series this summer.
In second place for the finale event was Hayley Ekert (Lansdale, PA 2023) who finished the afternoon with a score of 84. Ekert’s round started off on a high note with a birdie on the first hole and finished with pars on the 17th and 18th.
In third place was Nora Blatney (Wyndmoor, PA 2022) with a round of 98. Rounding out the top five in fourth and fifth place were Alexandra Schaul (Holmdel, NJ 2023) and Alexandra Petkunas (Ambler, PA 2022) who posted rounds of 108 and 120.
Discovery Division
Taking home her first PKBGT victory of the season with a round of 39 was Alexandra Engart (Harleysville, PA 2025) to win by one shot. Engart, who has now earned her spot in the 2019 Discovery Invitational this November, had five pars and one birdie in Sunday’s series finale.
In second place, Rachel Joyce (Quakertown, PA 2026) closed her afternoon with a score of 40, just one stroke behind Engart. Although Joyce came up one stroke short during today’s finale event, she still solidified her lead in the season long Order of Merit – taking home the Delaware Valley Discovery Order of Merit title by a ten point margin!
Finishing in third place was Savannah Laverty (Moorestown, NJ 2027) with a round of 41. Rounding out the top five in fourth and fifth place were Alaina Carson (Broomall, PA 2028) with a 45 and Kyla Quimby (West Lawn, PA 2026) with a score of 50.

About the PKBGT
Founded in 2007 by the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as a local girls’ golf tour in the Triad region of North Carolina, the tour began as a simple concept: create more effective competitive playing opportunities for girls. By utilizing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of the traditional age-based format, the tour focused on developing tournament experience at the player’s pace. The 2019 season will feature over 90 tournaments in 9 states on the East Coast and with over 900 members, the PKBGT is the largest girl’s only tour in the country.
