The forecast is clear and the sun will be shining as the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour season shifts south to Hilton Head Island for the Palmetto Dunes Resort Classic. On November 17-18, players will compete on the scenic Palmetto Dunes Golf Club in the second event of the 2019 campaign.
The event features a field of 26 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. The girls will compete on the Arthur Hills Course at 5,800 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,227 yards in the Futures National Division.
Bell National Division

Hatcher is coming off of a strong 2018 season where she had two top-five finishes in Bell National events including a T3 finish at the Coastal
Carolina Classic at Hackler GC.

Her 2019 season began with a T12 finish at the Last Chance Invitational Qualifier at Bermuda Run Country Club (West) and she currently sits at 135 on the PKB Performance Index.
Maddie Frank (Hilton Head Island, SC 2020) doesn’t need to pack a suitcase this weekend. Frank, a Hilton Head native, competes in her second event of the season after a T12 finish at the Last Chance Invitational Qualifier at Bermuda Run Country Club (West). She competed in her first PKB event in the Prep Southeast division last season with an eighth place finish in the Southeast Series Finale at Wescott Plantation in late August.
Futures National Division
The 17 player Futures National division field features players from both of the Carolinas. Anna Claire Bridge (Raleigh, NC 2021) enters the 2019 season after a strong campaign last year and was the highest finisher on the Futures National Order of Merit of all competitors in the field. Her top performance came in a first place finish at the North Carolina One-Day Series at Maple Chase GC in August.
Bethany Welch (Matthews, NC 2023) comes off of a 2018 season where she had six top 10 finishes including a second place finish in July at the North Carolina One-Day Series at Pine Island CC. She finished the year in the top 50 of the Futures National Order of Merit and looks to start off her 2019 season with a strong performance.
Lila Joyce (Mt. Pleasant, SC 2019) begins her 2019 season in this weekends event after competing in three separate divisions last year. Her top performance came at the South Carolina One-Day Series at Members Club at Woodcreek where she finished in second place.
Everyone looks to continue their success this weekend at the Palmetto Dunes Resort Classic at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. We look forward to a great event!
