On Saturday-Sunday, September 22-23, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the North Carolina Series Finale event at Colonial CC in Thomasville, NC.
The NC One-Day Series included 11 One-Day tournaments in North Carolina, concluding this weekend with a two-day Series Finale. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.
One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of the One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The North Carolina Series Finale at Colonial CC features a field of 61 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.
The Champion of the Prep Series is Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) with a scores of 72, 80 = 152. There is a two-way tie for runner-up with total scores of 153 between Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 2019) with scores of 74, 79 and Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022) with scores of 77,76. Finishing in 4th place with a scores of 79, 75 = 154 is Halynn Lee (Cary, NC 2021). Finishing in fifth place is Abigayle Hatcher (Roebuck, SC 2019) with scores of 75, 80 = 155.
The Champion of the Futures Series is Macy Pate (Boone, NC 2023) with a scores of 76, 77 = 153. Autumn Carey (Manning, SC 2022) finished runner-up with a scores of 79, 75 = 154. Finishing in 3rd place with a scores of 85, 78 = 163 is Heather Appelson (Wake Forest, NC 2023).Finishing in a four-way tie for 4th place at a final score of 165 is Paeton Phillippi (Wytheville, VA 2021) with scores of 86 and 79, Anna Howerton (Kernersville, NC 2023) with scores of 82 and 83, Chloe Crane (Greensboro, NC 2020) with scores of 80 and 85, and Natalie Martinho-Stansbury (Raleigh, NC 2020) with scores of 84 and 81.
The Champion of the Discovery Division is Ashnoor Kaur (Draper, VA 2024) with a scores of 37, 37 = 74. Ellen Yu (High Point, NC 2025) finished runner-up with a scores of 38, 39 = 77. Finishing in 3rd place with a scores of 41, 38 = 79 is Madison Dial (High Point, NC 2025). Riley Grim (High Point, NC 2028) with scores of 41 and 39, and Lead Edwards (Greensboro, NC 2025) with scores of 42 and 38 tied for 4th place with a total score of 80.
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
