Preview: Southeast Series Finale at The GC at Wescott Plantation

On Saturday-Sunday, August 25-26, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour in partnership with the WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation plays the  Southeast Series Finale event at The GC at Wescott Plantation in North Charleston, SC.

The SC One-Day Series included 8 One-Day tournaments in the South Carolina region, concluding this weekend with a two-day Series Finale. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Southeast Series Finale at The GC at Wescott Plantation features a field of 20 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Featured in the 12 player Prep Series are Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022), Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023) and Grace Jones (Hayesville, NC 2020). Alexia is currently ranked T13 on the Prep SE Order of Merit and finished 1st at the Coastal Carolina Classic at Coastal Carolina University. Ella is currently ranked 2nd on the Prep SE Order of Merit and has four wins with the PKB this season. Grace is currently ranked T18 on the Prep SE Order of Merit and finished top-10 at the PKB Tour Championship at Salem Glen GC.

Featured in the 8 player Futures Series are Autumn Carey (Manning, SC 2022), Izzy Stone (Beaufort, SC 2020) and Allison Lebo (North Augusta, SC 2022). Autumn is currently ranked T33 on the Futures SC Order of Merit and finished 1st at the Coastal Carolina Classic at Coastal Carolina University. Izzy is currently ranked T5th on the Futures SC Order of Merit and finished 3rd at the SC One-Day at The Windermere Club and the SC One-Day at CC of Lexington. Allison is currently ranked 1st on the Futures SC Order of Merit and has 4 top-5 finishes with the PKB this season.

Everyone looks to continue their success this weekend at the Southeast Series Finale event at The GC at Wescott Plantation! Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in the Prep and Futures Series. We look forward to a great event!
