Preview: PKBGT Eagle Classic at Georgia Southern University GC

The PKBGT returns to action on January 20-21, 2018 with the PKBGT Eagle Classic at Georgia Southern GC.  The event will feature 17 players of the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the largest “girls-only” junior golf tour in the country. They will tackle the course at 5,927 yards in the Bell National Series.

The Eagle Classic is the first tournament of the Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge presented by the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation. The Challenge will consist of 7 events between January 20 – March 10, 2018 and be operated by the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour. The first 6 pre-qualifying events will be open to any PKBGT member and will qualify players for the Junior Challenge Qualifier on March 24-25, 2018 at the Links at Stoney Point. The champion of this qualifier will receive the sponsor exemption* (qualifying player must have a USGA handicap index of 3.7 or better to be granted the exemption).

Featured in the Bell National Series for the Eagle Classic are Erica Boyd (Charlotte, NC 2020), Anna Grace Brock (Greenwood, SC 2019), Loralie Cowart (Winston, GA 2021), and Cori Langford (Blythewood, SC 2019) .  Erica Boyd is currently ranked T84 in the Bell National Order of Merit. Erica finished T15 at the PKBGT Tournament of Champions at Pinehurst No. 8 in December. Anna Grace Brock finished T3 at the 2017 Eagle Classic and qualified to play in the WHC Junior Challenge Symetra Qualifier. Loralie Cowart is currently ranked 52nd in the Bell National Division and finished T7 at the PKBGT Tournament of Champions at Pinehurst No. 8 in December. Cori Langford is currently ranked 10th in the Futures National Division and finished top-10 at the PKB Jr. at Pine Needles in December. They look to continue their success this weekend at the Eagle Classic at Georgia Southern University GC.

The PKBGT Eagle Classic will take place on Saturday – Sunday, January 20-21, 2018. We look forward to a great event!
