Preview: MA One-Day Series at Bowling Green CC (South)

The MA One-Day Series will include 8 One-Day tournaments in the Middle Atlantic region, concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Middle Atlantic One-Day Series event  at Bowling Green CC (South) features a field of 41 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Featured in the 18 player Prep Series are Tatum Walsh (Midlothian, VA 2021), Katie Park (Fairfax, VA 2022) and Vynie Chen (Centreville, VA 2020). Tatum is currently ranked 1st on the Prep MA Order of Merit and has 3 wins with the PKB this season. Katie is currently ranked 2nd on the Prep MA Order of Merit and finished 1st at the MA One-Day Series at Crofton CC. Vynie is currently ranked 3rd on the Prep MA Order of Merit and finished 3rd at the MA One-Day Series at The Hollows GC.

Featured in the 12  player Futures Series are Taylor Park (Fairfax, VA 2022), Kinley Stokes (Poolesville, MD 2024) and Emily Wang (Mclean, VA 2024). Taylor is currently ranked 2nd on the Futures MA Order of Merit and finished runner-up at the MA One-Day at Augustine GC. Kinley is currently ranked 5th on the Futures MA Order of Merit and was the champion at the MA One-Day at Shenandoah Valley GC. Emily is currently ranked 3rd on the Futures MA Order of Merit and finished T4 at the MA One-Day at Shenandoah Valley GC.

Featured in the 11 player Discovery Series are Madison Lehr (Mechanicsville, VA 2024), Cailyn Park (Fairfax, VA 2025) and Sydney Neou (Leesburg, VA 2027). Madison is currently ranked 2nd on the Discovery MA Order of Merit and has 2 wins with the PKB this season. Cailyn is currently ranked 1st on the Discovery MA Order of Merit and finished 1st at the MA One-Day at Crofton CC. Sydney is currently ranked 3rd on the Discovery MA Order of Merit and finished 1st at the MA One-Day at Augustine GC.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
