Preview: MA One-Day Series at Bowling Green CC (South)

On Saturday, August 11th, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour in partnership with the Middle Atlantic PGA plays the  Middle Atlantic One-Day Series event at Bowling Green CC (South) in Front Royal, VA.

The MA One-Day Series will include 8 One-Day tournaments in the Middle Atlantic region, concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The Middle Atlantic One-Day Series event  at Bowling Green CC (South) features a field of 41 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Featured in the 18 player Prep Series are Tatum Walsh (Midlothian, VA 2021), Katie Park (Fairfax, VA 2022) and Vynie Chen (Centreville, VA 2020). Kinley is currently ranked 5th on the Futures MA Order of Merit and was the champion at the MA One-Day at Shenandoah Valley GC.
