Preview: SC One-Day Series at CC of Spartanburg

On Saturday, August 4th, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour in partnership with the WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation plays the  South Carolina One-Day Series event at The Country Club Of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC.

The SC One-Day Series will include 8 One-Day tournaments in the South Carolina region, concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The South Carolina One-Day Series event at CC of Spartanburg features a field of 29 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Featured in the 13 player Prep Series are Isabella Britt (Chesnee, SC 2021), Camryn Lamp (Conover, NC 2021) and Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023). Isabella is currently ranked T18 on the Prep Southeast Order of Merit and finished runner-up at the WSCGA Foundation Jr. Girls. Camryn is currently ranked T34 on the Prep NC Order of Merit and finished in 1st place at the NC One-Day Series at Bermuda Run CC (West). Ella is currently ranked T2 on the Prep Southeast Order of Merit and has 9 top-3 finishes with the PKBGT this season.

Featured in the 16 player Futures Series are Nicole Nash (Charlotte, NC 2023), Alexis Hodge (Lexington, SC 2022) and Allison Lebo (North Augusta, SC 2022). Nicole is currently ranked 11th on the Futures NC Order of Merit in 1st place at the NC One-Day Series at Monroe CC. Alexis is currently ranked 2nd on the Futures SC Order of Merit and finished T4th at the SC One-Day Series at the Members Club at Woodcreek. Allison is currently ranked 1st on the Futures SC Order of Merit and finished runner-up at the SC One-Day Series at The Windermere Club.

Everyone looks to continue their success this weekend at the South Carolina One-Day Series event at CC of Spartanburg! Awards will be presented to the top-4 finishers in the Prep and Futures Series. We look forward to a great event!
