Recap: South Carolina One-Day Series at Spring Valley CC

On Saturday, June 16th, the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour in partnership with the WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation played the  South Carolina One-Day Series event of the 2018 season at Spring Valley Country Club in Colombia, SC.

The SC One-Day Series will include 8 One-Day tournaments in the South Carolina region, concluding with a two-day Series Finale at the end of the season. These events offer innovative yardage-based divisions to girls aged 9-17. The PKBGT Series Progression allows players to progress towards playing collegiate golf by playing yardage/skill appropriate tournaments as they develop their game.

One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.

The Champion of the SC One-Day Series at Spring Valley CC in the Prep Division is Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023) with a score of 79. There was a two way tie for 2nd place.
