One Tuesday, June 26, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played round 1 of the NOVA CHAMPIONSHIP at Hidden Creek CC in Reston, VA. The event features a field of 35 players from the PKB Girl’s Golf Tour.
In the Bell Division, Faith Mcilvain (Ellicott, MD 2020) and Danielle Suh (Herndon, VA 2020) are tied for the lead with opening rounds of two over par-72. Just behind Mcilvain and Suh at three over par-75 is Hannah Hankim (Potomac, MD 2021). Currently sitting in fourth is Ester Choi (Midlothian, VA 2021) with a round 1 score of 76. Currently in fifth place is Julie Shin (Brambleton, VA 2022) with a round 1 score of 77.
In the Futures Division, Alexandra Delgado (Fairfax, VA 2021) leads with a opening round of 1-under par, 71. Currently in second is Christina Cupelli (Fairfax, VA 2021) with a round 1 score of 74. Siting in third place after round is Audrey Yim (Great Falls, VA 2023) with a score of 75. Sydney Hackett (Ashburn, VA 2022) is in fourth place with a round 1 score of 76 and in currently in fifth place is Elizabeth Tucci (New Market, MD 2022) with a score of 77.
The NOVA Championship brings together players from Maryland, Missouri, and Virginia. We look forward to an exciting finish!!
The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
