Preview: NOVA Championship at Hidden Creek CC

On Tuesday – Wednesday, June 26-27, the 2018 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the NOVA CHAMPIONSHIP at Hidden Creek CC in Reston, VA. The event features a field 35 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour. 

Featured in the Bell National field are Elizabeth Coffren (Owings, MD 2020), Vynie Chen (Centreville, VA 2020) and Johnna Parlett (Dunkirk, MD 2019). Elizabeth is currently ranked 30th on the Bell National Order of Merit and finished in 1st place at the Maryland Classic at Laytonsville GC. Vynie is currently ranked 74th on the Bell National Order of Merit and finished T9 at the Maryland Classic at Laytonsville GC. Johnna is currently ranked 88th on the Bell National Order of Merit and finished T2 at the Maryland Classic at Laytonsville GC.

Featured in the Futures National field are Amelia Cho (Ashburn, VA 2024), Elizabeth Tucci (New Market, MD 2022) and Christina Cupelli (Fairfax, VA 2021). Amelia is currently ranked 23rd on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished T3 at the PKBGT Masters at Greenville CC. Elizabeth is currently ranked 33rd on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished T6 at the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship. Christina is currently ranked 46th on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished 8th at the Maryland Classic at Laytonsville GC.

The NOVA Championship brings together players from Maryland, Missouri and Virginia. We look forward to a great tournament!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
