Update: PGS JR Girls Championship

On Wednesday, June 20 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour  played the first round of the PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP at Bryan Park Golf Course (Champions Course). Bryan Park, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans golf teams, in a fantastic venue for the 16th annual championship at Bryan Park Champions Course. The event features a field 63 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour.

In the Bell Division, Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) leads with an opening round of two under par-70. Just behind Atwood at two over par-74 is Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018). Currently sitting in third is Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) with a round 1 score of 75. Currently in a four way tie for fifth with a round 1 score of 76  is Victoria Ladd (Greensboro, NC 2019), Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020), Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022), and Olivia John (Summerfield, NC 2018).

In the Futures Division, Kalina Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2021) and Ella Kue (King Mountain, NC 2022) are tied for first at 74 (+2). Just behind them in solo third sits Maci Burchman (Greensboro, NC 2021) at 75 (+3). McKenzie Daffin (Fort Bragg, NC 2021) and Isabella Adkins (Bristol, TN 2021) sit tied for 4th place at 77 (+5).

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
