Recap: Precision Jr. Girls Championship at Bryan Park GC (Champions)

On Wednesday-Thursday, June 20-21 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour  played the PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP at Bryan Park Golf Course (Champions Course). Bryan Park, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans golf teams, in a fantastic venue for the 16th annual championship at Bryan Park Champions Course. The event features a field 62 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour.

There was a two-way tie for 1st place in the Bell Division. Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) won the sudden death playoff on the first hole to be named the Champion of the 2018 Precision Jr. Girls Championship. Sambach finished the tournament with scores of 77-68-145. Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) finished runner-up with scores of 70-75-145. Just behind them finishing in a tie for 3rd place were Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) and Skylar Sload (Ashburn, VA  2018) both with two-day totals of 149. Skylar took 3rd place with the low day 2 score of 71. Kendall finished in 4th place. There was a three-way tie for 5th place. Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020), Mara Hirtle (Pinehurst, NC 2020) and Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020) all finished the tournament with two-day totals of 153. Mara finished in 5th place with the low day 2 score of 74.

The Champion of the Futures Division was Macie Burcham (Greensboro, NC 2021) finishing the tournament with scores of 75-72-147. Isabella Adkins (Bristol, TN 2021) finished runner-up with scores of 77-74-151. There was a two-way tie for 3rd place. Noelia Adkins (Bristol, TN 2021) and Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023) both finished the tournament with two-day totals of 152. Noelia took 3rd place with the low day 2 score of 73. Ella finished in 4th place. McKenzie Daffin (Fort Bragg, NC 2021) finished in 5th place with score of 77-76-153.
