Preview: Precision Jr. Girls Championship at Bryan Park GC (Champions)

On Wednesday-Thursday, June 20-21, the 2018 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP at Bryan Park Golf Course (Champions Course). Bryan Park, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans golf teams, is a fantastic venue for the 16th annual championship at Bryan Park Champions Course. The event features a field 63 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour. 

The Bell National field features 29 golfers, highlighted by 9 of the top-40 players on the 2018 PKBGT Bell National Order of Merit list, including: Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) ranked 3rd, Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) ranked 5th, Skylar Sload (Ashburn, VA 2018) ranked 13th, Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022) ranked T22, Megan Kanaby (Chapel Hill, NC 2019) ranked 29th, Olivia John (Summerfield, NC 2018) ranked T30th, Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020) ranked 32nd, Alexia Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2022) ranked 33rd and Bailee Twiford (Coinjock, NC 2019) ranked 39th.

The Futures National field features 34 golfers, highlighted by 7 of the top-15 players on the 2018 PKBGT Futures National Order of Merit list, including:  Amber Mackiewicz (Virginia Beach, VA 2023) ranked 1st, Abby Hunter (Blacksburg, VA 2021) ranked 3rd, Macy Pate (Boone, NC 2023) ranked 4th, McKenzie Daffin (Fort Bragg, NC 2021) ranked 8th, Kalina Siehl (Fort Mill, SC 2021) ranked 10th, Elizabeth Lohbauer (Huntersville, NC 2021) ranked 13th and Megan Morris (Cary, NC 2021) ranked 15th.

The PRECISION JR. GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP brings together players from Illinois, Missouri,  North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. We look forward to a great tournament!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
