Recap: Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort

On May 12-13, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York, PA. The event features a field of 33 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. Despite inclement weather for the final round, the girls tackled the course at 6,000 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,145 yards in the Futures National Division.

The Champion of the Bell Division is Esther Park (Wilmington, DE 2019) with a two day total of 149 (74-75). Finishing in 2nd place with a two day total of 153 (74-79) is Christina Lewis (Wexford, PA 2019) and in a tie for 3rd place with a two-day total of 156 is Hannah Hankim (Potomac, MD 2021)  (77-79) and Meher Mankikar (Bridgewater, NJ 2020) (75-81). Finishing in a tie for fifth place with a two day total of 158 is Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020)  (76-82) and Haley Quickel (Middletown, DE 2020) (76-82).

The Champion of the Futures Division is Abby Chen (Bethesda, MD 2021) with a two-day total of 152 (74-78). Chen made an eagle and 2 birdies in route to her ten shot victory this weekend. Finishing in 2nd place with a two-day total of 162 (81-81) is Michelle Cox (Allentown, PA 2021). In a tie for 3rd place with a two day total of 163 is Faith Mcilvain (Ellicott City, MD 2020) (76-87) and Melanie Walker (Burke, VA 2022) (83-80). Rounding out the top 5 in a tie for fifth at 165 is Riley Quatermain (Bryn Mawr, PA 2021) (81-84) and Caroline McConnell (South Fayette, PA 2022) (82-83).

The PKBGT is back in action May 19th for the North Carolina One-Day Series at Monroe CC and the Central Florida One-Day Series at Eagle Creek GC. We look forward to two great events!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
