Preview: Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort

On May 12-13, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York, PA. The event features a field of 33 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They will tackle the course at 6,000 yards in the Bell National Division and 5,145 yards in the Futures National Division.

Featured in the 19 player Bell Division are Skylar Sload (Ashburn, VA 2018), Hannah Jonely (Ashburn, VA 2020) and Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020). Skylar is currently ranked 6th on the Bell National Order of Merit and has finished in top-10 in three PKB tournaments this season: PKBGT Masters, Boar’s Head Inn Classic and PKB Tournament of Champions. Hannah is currently ranked 1st on the Prep Preview Order of Merit. She finished in 1st place at the PKB Tournament of Champions and in 7th place at the PKB Masters. Jessica is currently ranked 52nd on the PKB Bell National Order of Merit and finished top-10 at the Boar’s Head Inn Classic.

Featured in the 14 player Futures Division are Abby Chen (Bethesda, MD 2021), Faith McIlvain (Elliott City, MD 2020) and Melanie Walker (Burke, VA 2022). Abby  is currently ranked T56th on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished T6 at the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship at Hillendale CC. Faith is currently ranked 43rd on the Futures National Order of Merit and finished runner-up at the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship at Hillendale CC. Melanie is currently ranked 26th on the Futures National Order of Merit and has finished top-6 in two PKB events this season: the Boar’s Head Inn Classic and the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship.

The Pennsylvania Classic at Heritage Hills Golf Resort brings together players from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. We look forward to a great tournament!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
