Update: Southeast Classic @ Columbia Country Club

On April 14, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played round 1 of the Southeast Classic presented at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, SC. The event features a field of 51 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They tackled the course at 5,867 yards in the Bell National division and 5,028 yards in the Futures National division.

In a three way tie leading the Bell Series after round 1 of the Southeast Classic with a score 74 is Karlee Vardas (Lexington, SC 2021), Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020), and Carley Rudolf (Virginia Beach, VA 2019). Just 1 stroke behind the leaders sitting in fourth place is Emily Dunlap (Greenville, SC 2019) with a score of  75. Currently in a two way tie for fifth place with scores of 76 is Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 2019) and Kara Carter (Kingsport, TN 2021).

Leading the Futures Series after round 1 is Kelli Scheck (Greensboro, GA 2022) with a score of 73. Just 1 stroke behind the leader is Ella Kue with a score of 74. Cori Langford (Blythewood, SC 2020) currently sits in third place with a score of 76. Currently in a tie for fifth place is Regan Clifford (Mount Pleasant, SC 2020) and Paige Paolucci (Blythewood, SC 2022) with scores of 78.

The Southeast Classic at Columbia Country Club brings together players from Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. It should be an exciting finish!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
