Recap: Southeast Classic at Columbia Country Club

On April 14-15, 2018 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the Southeast Classic at Columbia Country Club in Blythewood, SC. The event featured a field of 52 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour. They tackled the course at 5,867 yards in the Bell National division and 5,028 yards in the Futures National division.

The Champion of the Bell National Division is Kara Carter (Kingsport, TN 2021) with a score of 76-70 = 146. Finishing runner-up just 1 stroke behind the leader is Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020) with a score of 74-73 = 147.  Karlee Vardas (Lexington, SC 2021) finished in third place with a score of 74-73 = 147. Finishing in fourth place with a score of 74-74 = 148 is Carley Rudolf (Virginia Beach, VA 2019). Finishing in fifth place is Molly Hardwick (Lexington, SC 2022) with a score of 79-71 = 150.

The Champion of the Futures National Division is Ella Kue (King Mountain, NC 2023) with a score of 74-73 = 147. Finishing runner-up just 4 strokes behind the leader is Kelli Scheck (Greensboro, GA 2022) with a score of 73-78 = 151. Amber Capote (Waxhaw, NC 2020) finished in third place with a score of 79-76 = 155. Finishing in fourth place with a score of 76-82 = 158 is Cori Langford (Blythewood, SC 2020). Finishing in fifth place is Regan Clifford (Mount Pleasant, SC 2020) with a score of  78-81 = 159.

The PKBGT is back in action April 21-22 with the Mid-Atlantic Girls Championship at Hillendale Country Club, a new championship event for 2018! On Sunday, April 22 the PKBGT will also be hosting the NC One-Day Series at Longleaf Golf & Family Club. We look forward to a great weekend!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
