Update: Boar’s Head Inn Classic @Birdwood GC

The PKBGT returned to action on March 17th with the Boar’s Head Inn Classic @Birdwood GC in Charlottesville, VA. The event features 66 players of the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the largest “girls-only” junior golf tour in the country. They will tackle the course at 6,041 yards in the Bell National divisions and at 5,250 yards in the Futures National division.

After round 1 of the Boar’s Head Inn Classic @Birdwood GC , Bailey Shoemaker (West Edmeston, NY 2023) and Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) lead the Bell National Series with a posted scores of 74, 2 over par. Only 1 stroke behind the lead in third is Riley Smyth (Cary, NC 2018) with a posted score of 75. Sitting tied for fourth is Rory Weinfurther (Midlothian, VA 2020) and Lauren Freyvogel (Gibsonia, PA 2019) with a first round score of 77.

Futures National series suspended due to darkness. Round 1 will be completed in the morning.

Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in the Bell National and Futures National Series of the Boar’s Head Inn Classic at Birdwood GC.
