Recap: Wotnosky, Shin Win Boar’s Head Inn Classic at Birdwood GC

The PKBGT returned to action March 17-18, 2018 with the Boar’s Head Inn Classic in Charlottesville, VA.  The event featured 66 players of the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the largest “girls-only” junior golf tour in the country. They will tackled the course at 6,041 yards in the Bell National division and in the Futures National division 5,250 yards.

The champion of the Bell National Series was Haeley Wotnosky (Wake Forest, NC 2018) with an impressive two-day total of 145 with a final round score of 1-under par, 71. There was a two-way tie for second place. Riley Smyth (Cary, NC 2018) took 2nd place with a two-day total of 75-74-149. Bailey Shoemaker (West Edmeston, NY 2023) finished in third place with a two-day total of 74-75-149. Finishing in 4th place was Rylie Heflin (Avondale, PA 2021) at 79-72-151. Finishing in fifth place was Skylar Sload (Asburn, VA 2018) with a two day total of 78-74-152.

The champion of the Futures National Series was Julie Shin (Brambleton, VA 2022) with a two-day total of 77-79-156. Finishing runner-up was Isabel Bae (Bristow, VA 2021) just three strokes behind the leader with a two-day total of  82-77-159. Hannah Lydic (Ocean View, DE 2022) finished in 3rd place with a two-day total of 82-80-162. Finishing in 4th place was Sarah Shao (Green Brook, NJ 2024) with a score of 85-81-166. Finishing in fifth place was Paige Scott (Butler, PA 2022) with a score of 83-85-168.

The PKBGT returns to action March 24-25th with North Carolina Classic @Sapona Ridge CC and the Women’s Health Classic Junior Challenge Symetra Qualifier at The Links at Stoney Point. We look forward to a great weekend!
