Update: Three Tied for the lead at Rocket Tour Players

— Live Scoring —

Day one of the first PKBGT Championship of the year is in the books in Athens, Georgia.  It was perfect conditions with overcast sky’s and temperatures around 60 degrees  for the players on the Robert Trent Jones layout at the University of Georgia Golf Course, one of the Top 10 collegiate courses in the country by Links Magazine.

In the Bell Series,  four players, Hannah Rose Bruxvoort (Chapel Hill, NC 2018), Brittany Shin (Capcoral, FL 2019), Savanah Satterfield (Chatsworth, GA 2018), and Louise Yu (Duluth, GA 2017) are all tied at five over, 77. Only one shot back and in a tie for fifth we have three players, Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021), Holly McCann (Raleigh, NC 2019), and Skylar Thompson (Buford, GA 2018) all shot six over, 78. Its a tight race, and its still anyone’s game!

The players in the Bell field are playing for points to help qualify them for the Women’s Health Jr. Challenge in April! The Top-29 in the points race will receive a spot in the Women’s Health Jr. Challenge event. The winner of that event will get a spot in the LPGA Symetra Tour Women’s Health Classic in May!

In the Futures Series, sitting on top of the leaderboard is Loralie Cowart (Winston, GA 2021) after shooting nine over, 81. Only two back with score of 83 and in a tie for second are Hannah Nall (Cleveland, TN 2022) and Genevieve Wu (Johns Creek, GA 2022).  Sitting alone in fourth with a score of 84 is Sara Im (Duluth, GA 2023). One more day to go with the trophy up for grabs!
