Preview: North Carolina Series Finale @ Statesville CC

On Saturday-Sunday, September 16-17, 2017, the PKBGT will be playing the North Carolina Series Finale @ Statesville CC in Statesville, NC. The North Carolina Series Finale will conclude the NC One-Day Series of the 2017 Season.  The North Carolina One-Day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of  North Carolina One-Day Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on premium golf courses.

Featured in the Prep Series are Ryann Sinclair (Mooresville, NC 2019), Sasha Hayes (Winston-Salem, 2020), Charleigh Hodges (Mooresville, NC 2018), and  Paris Fieldings (Suffolk, VA 2023). Ryann is currently ranked 15th in the Prep Order of Merit – NC and has finished top-6 in her last two NC One-Day events. Sasha is currently ranked 7th in the Prep Order of Merit – NC and has finished top-5 in her last three PKB events, including finishing runner-up at the 2017 PKB Tour Championship at Salem Glen GC. Charleigh is currently ranked 3rd in the Prep Order of Merit – NC and has 6 top-10 finishes with the PKBGT this season. Paris is currently ranked 2nd in the Prep Order of Merit – NC and has finished top-5 in five different PKB events this season. They look to continue their success this weekend at the North Carolina Series Finale at Statesville CC.

Featured in the Futures Series are eight of the top-10 players in the Futures Order of Merit – NC. Katelyn Kenthack (Pinehurst, NC 2020) is currently ranked 1st in the Futures Order of Merit – NC and has finished top-5 in her last three NC One-Day events. Macy Pate (Boone, NC 2023) is currently ranked 2nd in the Futures Order of Merit – NC and has finished top-10 in her last seven PKB events. Kayla Dowell (Mebane, NC 2021) is currently ranked 4th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC and has placed top-5 in five different PKB events this season. Chloe Crane (Greensboro, NC 2020) is currently ranked 5th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC and has placed top-10 in four different PKB events this season. Lauren Denhard (Salisbury, NC 2019) is currently ranked 6th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC. Anika Bhatnagar (Cary, NC 2020) is currently ranked 7th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC. Heather Appleson (Wake Forest, NC 2023) is currently ranked 8th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC. Morgan Ketchum (Winston-Salem, NC 2022) is currently ranked 9th in the Futures Order of Merit – NC. They look to continue their success this weekend at the North Carolina Series Finale at Statesville CC.

The Prep & Futures Series champions will earn Class A status and an invitation to the 2017 PKBGT Tournament of Champions. The Prep & Futures Series runner-ups will earn Class D provisional status to the 2017 PKBGT Tournament of Champions.

Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in the Prep and Futures Series.

Featured in the Discovery Series are 5 players from North Carolina who have all recorded impressive 9-hole rounds this season at different NC One-Day events. For the NC Series Finale at Statesville CC the Discovery Series will be playing a one-day, 18-hole round.

Awards will be presented to the top-3 finishers in the Discovery Series. We look forward to a great event!
