Update: McDonald, Logan Lead After Round 1 of The Southeast Series Finale @ Cobbs Glen CC

On Saturday, August 26, 2017 the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the first round of the Southeast Finale at Cobbs Glen CC in Spartanburg, NC.  This event wraps up the SC One-Day Series Events of the 2017 season.

Leading the Prep Series after firing a first round score of, 76 was Anna McDonald (Hickory, NC 2019). Sitting 4 shots back in second place is Katelyn Lee (Easley, SC 2020) after a first round of 80. In third place is Chloe Holder (Willanston, SC 2021) who finished the day at 81.  In fourth place is Kelley Topiwala (Matthews, NC 2020), finishing the day at 82.

Leading the Futures Series is Madison Logan (Brasstown, 2022) after a first round of 79, to pull head by 8 shost. Sitting in second place is Abby Franks (Roebuck, SC 2023) with a first round total of 87. In a tie for third place is Mattie Padgett (Senco, SC 2023) and Andi Brock (Toccoa, GA 2018) with a first round totals of 91.

It will be an exciting finish on Sunday!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
