Update: Peterson Leads by two after Day 1 of the Eagle Classic

— Live Scoring —

Day one of the Eagle Classic is in the books! Cloudy, grey skies and a chilly temperatures surrounded most of the day for the PKBGT players. The home of the Georgia Southern University men’s and women’s golf team presented an early challenge. However, Georgia Southern commit Natalie Peterson, from the Bell division, was able to post an impressive 77 alongside Angelique Seymour, from the Future’s division, who posted a first round 79.

Not far off the leader in the Bell Series was Katherine Schuster with 79 and Michelle Harn with 80. A three way tie for fourth will present an exciting final round of play as Leiko Niwano, Gaby Martinez, and Muskan Uppal will battle to jump up the leaderboard.

The players in the Bell field are playing for points to help qualify them for the Women’s Health Jr. Challenge in April! The Top-29 in the points race will receive a spot in the Women’s Health Jr. Challenge event. The winner of that event will get a spot in the LPGA Symetra Tour Women’s Health Classic in May!

In the Futures Series, first day leaders include Angelique Seymour who posted a first round 79, Sara Im with 81, as well as Victory Lee and Loralie Cowart who are currently T3 with a score of 84. It’s still anyone’s game headed into Sunday! One more day to go with the trophy up for grabs!
