Preview: NC One-Day Series at Bermuda Run West

On Saturday, July 29, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Bermuda Run Country Club (West Course). One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event features a field of 41 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

The Prep Series field features Ryann Sinclair (Mooresville, NC 2019) and Emma Reid (Flat Rock, NC 2018). Sinclair is currently ranked 19th on the Prep Order of Merit – NC and shot 1-under, 71, at the NC One-Day Series at Bryan Park GC. Reid is currently ranked 54th on the Prep Order of Merit – NC and finished T2 at the SC One-Day Series at The Carolina Country Club.

Featured in Futures Series field is Victoria Cook (Reidsville, NC 2020), Morgan Ketchum (Winston-Salem, NC 2022), and Laney Wessels (Sophia, NC 2021). Each player had top performances at the NC One-Day Series at Bryan Park GC on Monday. Victoria finished in first place, shooting 77. Morgan finished T2, shooting 78. Laney finished in fourth place, shooting 79. They look to continue their success this weekend at Bermuda Run West.

The One-Day Open Series at Bermuda Run Country Club (West Course) brings together players from North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. It should be a great event!
