Update: Isaacson, Cowart Lead After Round 1 of the 2GG Apparel Girls Golf Championship

The 2017 2GG Apparel Girls Golf Championship at Coastal Carolina University’s Hackler Course completed day 1 of the 36 hole events.  2GG Apparel, a clothing line and sponsor of the PKBGT, was founded by MLB All-Star pitcher Russ Ortiz after his retirement in 2010.  Ortiz is an avid golfer and 100% of the proceeds from 2GG Apparel are donated to charity.

In the Bell Series, round one concluded with an impressive score by Madison Isaacson (Greensboro, NC 2018) who is leading after day one, shooting three under par, 69.  She holds a 6 shot lead over Mallory Fobes (East Bend, NC 2019), who shot 75 today. Madison Branum (Lexington, SC 2018) is sitting in 3rd place, shooting 76 in round one.

In the Futures Series, Loralie Cowart (Winston, GA 2021) holds a 2-shot lead after round 1, shooting 76 on the day.  Sitting in second place just two shots behind the leader is Maria Atwood (Holly Springs, NC 2022), shooting 78 today. Ella Drew Dodd (Mount Pleasant, SC 2022) finishes the day in third place with a 79.

It should be an exciting finish at day two of the 2GG Apparel Girls Golf Championship! Awards will be presented to the top six finishers in each Series.
