Recap: Harn, Kue Win SC One-Day Series @ Columbia CC

On Saturday, July 8, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the South Carolina One-Day Open Series at Columbia Country Club. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event featured a field of 36 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

The Champion of the Prep Series was Michelle Harn (Charlotte, NC 2019), with a final score of 82 on the day. Just one stroke behind her, Molly Hardwick (Lexington, SC 2022) and Victoria Hall (Moore, SC 2018) both shot 83 on the day. A scorecard playoff determined second and third place. Victoria won the scorecard playoff taking second place, and Molly took third. A scorecard playoff also determined fourth place, and Mary-Kathryn Talledo (Blythewood, SC 2021) claimed the spot shooting an 86.

In the Futures Series, a sudden death playoff determined first place. Mattie Padgett (Seneca, SC 2023) and Ella Kue (Kings Mountain, NC 2023) both shot 81 on the day. Ella won the playoff, claiming first place. Mattie finished the day with second place. Just one stroke behind the leaders was Madison Lynn Dixon (Inman, SC 2023) shooting an 82, and finishing in third place. Coming in fourth place was Madelyn Richards (Blythewood, SC 2018) with a score of 83.
