Preview: Precision Golf School Junior Girls’ Championships at Bryan Park GC

On Wednesday-Thursday, June 21-22, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP at Bryan Park Golf Course (Champions Course). Bryan Park, home to the University of North Carolina-Greensboro Spartans golf teams, is a fantastic venue for the fifth championship event of the season. The event features a field 49 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour. 

The Bell Division field features 27 golfers, highlighted by 9 of the top-75 players on the 2017 PKBGT Bell Order of Merit list, including: Amanda Sambach (Davidson, NC 2021) ranked 2nd, Kendall Turner (Chesapeake, VA 2019) ranked 12th, Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018) ranked 16th, Olivia John (Summerfield, NC 2018) ranked 20th, Grace Jones (Hayesville, NC 2020) ranked 22nd, Emelia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019) ranked 30th, Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020) ranked 31st, Skylar Sload (Ashburn, VA 2018) ranked 50th, Mallory Fobes (East Bend, NC 2019) ranked 55th.

The Futures Division field features 22 golfers, highlighted by 5 of the top-20 players on the 2017 PKBGT Futures Order of Merit list, including:  Hannah Nall (Cleveland, TN 2022) ranked 1st, Trinity Muthomi (Kernersville, NC 2022) ranked 4th, Hannah Jonely (Ashburn, VA 2020) ranked 15th, Halynn Lee (Cary, NC 2021) ranked 16th, and Harper Shepherd (Greensboro, NC 2021) ranked 20th.

The PGS JR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIPS brings together players from Alabama, California, Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. It should be a great tournament!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
