On Saturday, May 20, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the second event of the North Carolina One-Day Series of the 2017 season at Monroe Country Club. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event featured a field of 39 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.
The Champion of the Prep Series was Maya White (Fletcher, NC 2017) firing a 76. She was followed by Emily Song (Charlotte, NC 2019) with a score of 80. Rounding out the top three was Alyssa Cox (Mount Airy, NC 2019) with an 84. A scorecard playoff was the tie breaker for fourth place. Finishing in fourth place was Charleigh Hodges (Mooresville, NC 2018) with a score of 85.
The Champion of the Futures Series was Nicole Nash (Charlotte, NC 2023) shot the low round of the day with a 76.
