Update: Ties in Prep, Ellison Leads Metrolina Classic at Winthrop Univeristy

On Saturday-Sunday, April 29-30th, the PKBGT will play the Metrolina Classic at Rock Hill Country Club in Rock Hill, SC.  The course is home to the Winthrop University women’s golf team.  The field features 43 players from four different states in the Prep and Futures Series.

Congratulations to Jordan Guyton (Columbia, SC 2019) for her career first hole-in-one on the 136 yard 17th hole today!

Leading the Prep Series in a three-way tie for first with a 75 are Anna Morgan (Spartanburg, SC 2019), Nina Kouchi (Matthews, NC 2018) and Taylor Hinson (Belmont, NC 2017).

Leading the Futures Series with an opening round of 79 is Morgan Ellison (Peachtree City, GA 2021).  In second place with an 80 is Angelique Seymour (Fayetteville, NC 2019).  In third place is Catherine Stoerker (Cumming, GA 2020) with an 81.

Awards will be presented to the top-five finishers in each series.  We look forward to another great event and welcome all of our new players to the PKBGT!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf.
