Recap: Domenech, Perry Win at the Greater Richmond Classic

On Sunday, June 12, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played final round of the the Greater Richmond Classic at Magnolia Green Golf Club. Magnolia Green, was ranked #8 on Golf Digest’s Top 10 2015 Best New Courses, is a Nicklaus Design in association with Tom Clark and a beautiful course for this two-day tournament.

It was a tight finish in the Prep Series for the final day. Winning the Prep Series Diana Cristina Domench (Richmond, VA 2018) after carding round of 76-84-160.  In second place  and only one stroke behind was Madison Isaacson (Greensboro, NC 2018) with scores of 81-80-161.  In third place was Paris Fieldings (Suffolk, VA 2023) with scores of 82-80-162.  In a tie for fourth place was Caroline Duggan (Holly Springs, NC 2019) and Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020) with rounds of 84-82-166 and 86-80-166, respectively.

Winning the Futures Series was Parker Perry (Richmond, VA 2020) with rounds of 83-79-162.  In a tie second place was Hannah Jonely (Ashburn, VA 2020) and Julie Shin (Brambleton, VA 2022) both carding rounds of 83-83-166.   In fourth place was Tatum Walsh (Midlothian, VA 2021) with scores of 83-87-170.  Rounding out the top five is Brooke Burnette (Suffolk, VA 2018).

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
