On Saturday-Sunday, March 25-26 the PKBGT will host the Boar’s Head Inn Classic at the Birdwood Golf Course at UVA. Birdwood, home to the University of Virginia women’s golf team, is an classic course with tricky, undulating greens and a wonderful host for this two-day tournament.
Leading the Bell Series is defending champion Lauren Freyvogel (Gibsonia, PA 2019) with an even par 72. Close behind in a tie for second place are Melissa Meng (Blacksburg, VA 2020) and Jennifer Cleary (Wilmington, DE 2020).
Leading the Futures Series in a two-way tie for first place are Jessica Rathbone (Montpelier, VA 2020) and Parker Perry (Richmond, VA 2020) each with an opening round of 79. In sole third place is Sue Lee (Lorton, VA 2022) withe an 81.
Awards will be presented to the top-five finishers in both series at the completion of play on Sunday, March 26th. We look forward to another great PKBGT event and welcome all of our new players and PKB families!
