Update: Wade, Tsiros Lead Tiger Classic

— Live Scoring —

It turned out to be a great day for golf at Clemson’s University’s Walker Course.  The weather cooperated nicely and the wind died down from yesterday.  The greens proved to be tricky due to their fast pace but the girls were ready for the tough conditions!

Leading the Bell Series after round one is Woo Wade (Dunwoody, GA 2019) with a 74.  Woo had a couple of birdies early on in her round and she was able to maintain the steady play throughout the day.  Close behind Wade in a tie for second place are Louise Yu (Duluth, GA 2017) and Caroline Wrigley (Wexford, PA 2019) each with a 76.  It is still anyone’s game in the Bell Series and we look forward to an exciting conclusion tomorrow!

Leading the Futures Series with a score of 78 is Anna Tsiros (Asheville, NC 2019).  Anna played well on the back nine, making eight pars and continuing to play well on the difficult front side.  Close behind Tsiros in a three-way tie for second place are Isabella van der Biest, (Kingsport, TN 2021) Melissa Meng, (Blacksburg, VA 2020) and Isabella Rawl (Lexington, SC 2022) at 80.  We expect a dramatic finish to the Futures Series after round two as well!

The awards ceremony will take place after the conclusion of play and will honor the top-five finishers in each series.
