Preview: SC One-Day Series Finale at Cobb’s Glen

On August 27, 2016, the PKBGT will be playing the South Carolina One-Day Series Finale at Cobb’s Glen Country Club.   The South Carolina One-Day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of  South Carolina One-Day Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.Cobbs Glen Country Club

Featured in the Prep Series this weekend are Madison Branum (Lexington, SC 2018), Emily Anderson (Matthews, NC 2017) and Elena Jacoby (Huntersville, NC 2019).  Branum is ranked 20th on the PKBGT Performance Index and has not finished outside of the top-3 this year on the tour.  Anderson is ranked 38th on the Prep Series Order of Merit ad had six top-10 finishes this year.  Jacoby is currently ranked 52nd on the Prep Series Order of Merit and had six top-10 finishes this year.

Featured in the Futures Series this weekend are Telie McCoy (Early Branch, SC 2019), Isabella Britt (Chapin, SC 2021) and Emileigh Swords (Liberty, SC 2019).  McCoy is currently ranked first on the SC One-Day Futures Order of Merit standings and had three top-3 finishes this year.  Britt is ranked fourth on the SC Futures Order of Merit and had three top-10 finishes.  Swords is ranked sixth on the SC Futures Order of Merit and had a win at the Woodside Plantation tournament.

Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in each series.  We look forward to a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
