Recap: Anderson, Nolan Win the SC One-Day Series at The Carolina Country Club

On July 2, 2016, the PKBGT concluded the South Carolina One-Day Series Event at The Carolina Country Club. Inspired by the golf course’s notable play lately, with the likes of Converse College, web.com, and a national qualifier, girls from North Carolina, South Carolina, and even Tennessee had a great time playing 18 holes. The South Carolina One-Day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of  South Carolina One-Day Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.
Winning in the Prep Series was Emily Anderson (Mathews, NC 2017) after firing a seven over par, 79. Three strokes behind Anderson and finishing in a tie for second with matching cards of 82 was Nicole Kramer (Charlotte, NC 2018) and Abigayle Hatcher (Roebuck, SC 2019). Coming in fourth was Alyssa Campbell (Lake Wylie, SC 2018) with a score of 84. Rounding out the top 5 was Emma Reid (flat Rock, NC 2018) after carding an 85.
Winning in the Futures Series, with a score of nine over par, 81 was Jennaly Nolan (Knoxville, TN 2018). Three shots behind Nolan and carding an 84 was Telie McCoy (Early Branch, SC). Finishing in third with a score of 85 was Amber Amaker (Inman, SC 2019). finishing in a tie for fourth with matching cards of 86 was Shea Smith (Charlotte, NC 2022) and Victoria Hall (Moore, SC 2019).

The South Carolina One-Day Series will return to action on July 23rd at The Windermere Club in Blythewood, SC!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
