Preview: South Carolina One-Day Series Event at The Carolina Country Club

On July 2, 2016, the PKBGT will be playing the South Carolina One-Day Series Event at The Carolina Country Club, The Carolina Country Club, home of the Converse College Valkyries and the Converse College Invitational, is considered to be the best, most playable golf course in the Upstate. The South Carolina One-Day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of  South Carolina One-Day Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course.

Featured in the 8-player field are Emily Anderson (Matthews, NC 2017), Carleigh Greene ( Anderson, SC 2017), Abigayle Hatcher (Roebuck, SC 2019), and Maya White (Fletcher, NC 2017).

Featured in the 20-player Futures One-Day SC Series are Amber Capote (Waxhaw, NC 2020), Megan Slattery (Lexington, SC 2021), Isabella Britt (Chapin, SC 2021), Jennaly Nolan (Knoxville, TN 2018), Claire Owens ( Charlotte, NC 2019), and Telie McCoy (Early Branch, SC 2019).

Awards will be presented to the top-5 finishers in each series.  We look forward to a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
