Recap: Playoff! Fox, Crumrine Win One-Day @ Chapel Ridge GC

On , August 8th, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour plays the One-Day Open Series at Chapel Ridge Golf Club. Chapel Ridge has hosted PKBGT events in 2010 and 2011.  One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a
premium golf course. The event features a field of 28 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.

Winning the Prep Series after a one-hole playoff  was Lotte Fox (Raleigh, NC 2020) with a score of 76.  In second place was Natalie Warren (Raleigh, NC 2017) also with a 76.  In third place was Meghan McPeak (Chapel Hill, NC 2017) with a 79.  In fourth place was Greer Valaquenta (Morrisville, NC 2018) with an 80.  In fifth place matching cards was Kayla Smith (Burlington, NC 2019) with an 81.

Winning the Futures Series was Caroline Crumrine (Wilmington, NC 2020) with a round of 78.  In second place was Kate Hawkins (Littleton, NC 2018) with an 81.  In third place by one stroke with an 82 was Annabelle Millard (Indian Trail, NC 2022).  In fourth place with an 85 was Victoria Ladd (Greensboro, NC 2019).  In fifth place matching cards was Amanda Kang (Kernersville, NC 2018) with an 86.

The PKBGT returns to action with the Srixon Tour Championship at Greenville CC on August 13-15!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
