Recap: Playoff! Kramer, Ladd Win One-Day at Mill Creek CC

On , August 4th, the 2016 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the One-Day Open Series at Mill Creek Country Club. One-day tournaments are designed for golfers of all skill levels, but are a great place for development golfers to “get in to the swing of things” playing tournament golf. The goal of One-Day Open Series events is to provide a fun and friendly tournament on a premium golf course. The event featured a field of 19 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour.                       

Winning the Prep Series after a two-hole playoff was Nicole Kramer (Charlotte, NC 2018) with a round of 84.  Placing second with a round of 84 was Hailey Joy (Reidsville, NC 2018).  In third place matching cards with a round of 85 was Mallory Fobes (East Bend, NC 2019).  In fourth place was Katie Pritchett (Dry Fork, VA 2016) with a round of 85.  In fifth place with a score of 88 was Natalie Warren (Raleigh, NC 2017).

Winning the Futures Series with a score of 77 was Victoria Ladd (Greensboro, NC 2019).  In second place with a round of 82 was Carson Jenkins (Raleigh, NC 2019).  In third place matching cards was Amand Kang (Kernersville, NC 2018) with an 83.  In fourth place was Anna Hillman (Summerfield, NC 2018) with an 83.  In fifth place was Rachel Hulicki (Raleigh, NC 2017) with an 85.

The PKBGT returns to action on August 8th with the NC One-Day Series tournament at Chapel Ridge GC!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
