Preview: Bash at the Beach Classic @ River Landing

On Sunday-Monday, July 31st-August 1st, the PKBGT will play the Bash at the Beach Classic @ River Landing.  The course is home to the University of North Carolina Wilmington golf teams.  The facility features two championship courses, the River and Landing Course.  The PKBGT will host the event at the River Course.

Featured in the combined Prep Series field are Nicole Adam (Pinehurst, NC 2020) Sarah Funderberg (Wilmington, NC 2018) and Mackenzie Battle (Aberdeen, NC 2018).  Adam is currently ranked first on the Futures Series Order of Merit and is ranked in 47th on the Performance Index.  Funderberg is 28th on the Prep Series Order of Merit and is ranked 54th on the Performance Index.  Battle is ranked 4th on the Prep Series Order of Merit and 72nd on the Performance Index.

Awards will be presented to the top-5 players in the Prep Series.  We look forward to a great event!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers. Based out of Greensboro, North Carolina, the PKBGT offers affordable, high-quality nationally ranked girls’ golf tournaments designed to prepare junior girls’ golfers for high school and collegiate golf. The PKBGT is the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour with over 450 members in 2015 and 450 girls playing in or committed to collegiate golf.
